We have a great country
created and maintained by the sacrifice of a few for the many.. From the beginning
a few men stood on a green in Massachusetts standing up for the rest of the
population of New England, willing to die for what they thought was right.
Most of us were patriots
giving all we had for the cause, the welfare of our nation. However even in
those days the patriots, the rabble were the ones giving their all while a few
of the wealthy,( just a few) publicly voiced their support, without giving a
penny or a moment of their time… In some cases siding with enemy's of the new nation.
Then when the smoke settled
they would stand, cheer, taking the accolade of hero and patriot.
In this day and age, the magic use of words
have made it seem that somehow if the very wealthy are asked to give their fair
share to maintain this nation that has given them so much, they are being punished
as they are above it all. This is not all wealthy but a few who in other times
would claim to be heroes and patriots….
