The fault in our stars

The fault in our stars

A beautiful movie about the goodness of people and the fighting for a soaring human spirit.

But that fault is not what I Write about. At the beginning of World War Two the US was recovering from a decade long depression. During this period People had been mobilized to build a Nation, Parks, Bridges an entire infrastructure. The money for this endeavor came from the wealthy and was borrowed from the future as taxes. This was fought every step of the way by the part of our country who looked at most of our people as baggage. Why should money be spent on the rabble the immigrants the indigents….

Then glorious War came We needed, soldiers, guns, ships, airplanes a thousand times  more expensive then we had spent to build the nation… As the is case in all wars before and following

The fault is that we (all of us) feel at ease in paying for a war, bullets bombs and tanks war ships, things to be used for killing and destruction in our current area. Socialism in the general sense seems to be acceptable at war time and only then.

This said however, for the first time in American History the last two wars were paid for completely by borrowed Money.

These wars good or bad were necessary so we felt. The question is shouldn't as much effort and enthusiasm be used for the welfare of Mankind? Are we so competitive (us against them) that we allow this destructive way of life continue?

Is this the fault in our Stars…..
