The national religion of Saudi Arabia is Wahabism Sunni and in the cold war we (the US) used this fanatical religion in Afghanistan to fight the USSR. These Saudis were, are the al qaeda . A group forged by the CIA. Another stupid assumption is the ISIL fighters who are also fallowers of wahabism and Sunni were lowly people of the desert unschooled and unsophisticated, however somehow are schooled in the use of all the tools of warfare hightec rockets, tanks ect.
